Roger Loftin has retired as chief of police for the city of Lexington after 40 years of service with the department. Loftin served as chief for 32 years, making him the longest serving police chief in Tennessee upon his retirement. Before serving as chief, Loftin worked as a patrolman, shift sergeant, and criminal investigator with the Lexington Police Department.
