A.C. Wharton honored with marker at Shelby Farms Greenline

Former Memphis Mayor A.C. Wharton, family members, and community leaders were present to unveil a monument honoring Wharton at the beginning of the Shelby Farms Greenline. Wharton led the efforts to convert the nearly 11-mile stretch of railroad tracks into a paved path for use by walkers, runners, and bikers. The paved path takes users from Midtown Memphis through Shelby Farms Park to Cordova.
