Farragut earns GFOA Certificate of Achievement for 31st time

Farragut Town Hall

The Town of Farragut has received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the 31st time for its annual comprehensive financial report for Fiscal Year 2022. The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

“I’d like to recognize Finance Director Allison Myers and Accounting Clerk Pam Hall for their excellent work in maintaining financial records and making sure the Town complies with state and local financial practices,” says Town Administrator David Smoak. “If you look at the report on our website, you’ll see the tremendous amount of work that goes into our financial reporting. We do this to be transparent about our finances because we know how important this is to our community.”

The Town’s financial reports are available at townoffarragut.org/financials.

Farragut is one of 31 municipalities out of 345 in the state to receive this certificate of achievement. GFOA is the premier association for public-sector finance professionals in the United States and Canada.
