Atoka's Ganser selected as Veteran of the Month

The town of Atoka proudly announces that Candice Ganser, operations clerk for Atoka, was nominated by Mayor Barry L. Akin and selected as Veteran of the Month by the Tipton County Museum, Veterans Memorial and Nature Center.   

A native of Apalachin, NY, Candice served in the United States Navy from August 1997 to March 2023. Her exceptional career spanned across various roles and commands showcasing her dedication and commitment to service.  

An illustrious career culminated in her retirement on March 31, 2023, in Millington, TN, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication. Her numerous accolades, including multiple Navy and Marine Corps Commendation and Achievement Medals, underscore her outstanding service and commitment to duty.  

Upon retirement, Candice decided to make Atoka, TN her home.  She began working as the Operations Clerk in March of 2023 where she continues to provide much of the same excellence and dedication for the community of Atoka.
