Franklin cuts ribbon on water reclamation facility upgrades

Officials with the city of Franklin cut the ribbon on the new upgraded and expanded Water Reclamation Facility. The $132,890,000 project is the largest capital investment in the city’s history and represents a substantial investment in the City's infrastructure and is designed to meet the growing needs of a growing community while ensuring the preservation and protection of the region's water resources. The facility provides a capacity of 16 million gallons-per-day, more efficient and effective treatment of wastewater including solids processing equipment, and enhanced environmental performance such as energy-efficient equipment, optimized treatment processes, and optimized processes.
