Bill Stinnett
Bill Stinnett, longtime Ashland City municipal judge, died Jan. 7, 2024, at the age of 95. Serving in the Navy before studying at Middle Tennessee State University and then YMCA Night Law School – now the Nashville School of Law – Stinnett earned his law degree in 1967. He moved to Ashland City in 1969 to practice law, becoming a partner in the firm Stinnett, Wilkinson, and Wilson. He was first appointed municipal court judge for Ashland City in 1996 and was then elected to the position in 1998. He held the role until his death.
