DOJ extends online ADA compliance deadline for municipalities

The federal government has extended the deadline for governments to comply with new online ADA requirements. The U.S. Department of Justice Department of Justice (DOJ) published an Interim Final Rule extending the deadline to April 26, 2027, for municipalities with a population of 50,000 or more and to April 27, 2028 for municipalities with a population less than 50,000. Accessibility requirements have not changed. The DOJ has published more in-depth information online.
