Iron pump manufacturer moves operations to Memphis
ITT Goulds Pumps will establish its first Tennessee location in Memphis, investing $31 million and creating 57 new jobs. The new manufacturing and distribution center will be located on Mineral Wells Road and replaces an existing facility the company has outgrown in Southaven, Miss. The new facility will provide both capacity for growth of the business, increase space for inventory, and meet rising customer demand. The company is a part of Flow Technologies, a segment within ITT Inc., which employs over 11,000 people globally. Founded in 1848 in Seneca Falls, N.Y., it became the world’s first manufacturer of iron pumps. Today, ITT Goulds Pumps has grown to become an industry leading manufacturer of pumps serving customers in the energy, mining, power, chemical, pulp and paper, water and wastewater and general industrial markets. It remains headquartered in Seneca Falls, New York.
