Officials with the city of Fairview and Ascension Saint Thomas broke ground on a new, freestanding emergency room. The new 11,000-square-foot facility will include 11 patient rooms, a trauma room, and a laboratory. Four years in the making, the new ER is scheduled to open in fall 2027 and is estimated to cost $21 million. This marks the second free-standing ER to locate in Fairview after TriStar celebrated a groundbreaking in June. The two projects eliminate the need for Fairview residents to drive at least 40 minutes to Franklin or Nashville for critical care.
