Colin Hurst

Colin Hurst has been appointed as the new fire chief of the Alcoa Fire Department. Hurst began his career with AFD in 2005 and has served the community for nearly two decades. He most recently served as the deputy fire chief of the department for the past four years. Hurst holds an associate’s degree in applied science from Columbia Southern University and is presently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fire administration. He has earned numerous prestigious professional certifications and honors, including the Chief’s Award and the Life Saving Award.
