East Ridge Fire Department holds push-in ceremony

Members of the East Ridge Fire Department held a push-in ceremony for Squad-1, the newest apparatus for the department. The 2025 Pierce Enforcer is part of a “continued investment” in the city’s emergency service, according to fire officials. The push-in ceremony harkens back to the days when firefighters would have to physically push horse-drawn fire apparatus into stations, symbolizing teamwork and pride as well as readiness to serve the community.
