Townsend launches new smart phone app

A new smartphone app will help Townsend residents report non-emergency issues, allowing the city to tackle issues such as potholes, broken streetlights, and missed garbage collection. Residents are able to include photo attachments to help better describe situations. Additionally, the calendar portion of the app will allow residents to keep up to date with city meetings, agendas, and community events. The city will also be able to push out information on emergencies, alerts, and other critical news for residents and visitors in the area via the app. A redesign of the city website is also presently underway to mirror the app in structure and functionality.
