James Mayberry

James Mayberry, sitting councilman and former mayor of Crossville, died July 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Mayberry was first elected as mayor of Crossville in 2014, serving until 2022. He was elected to his present city council term in 2024. In addition to his work on the city council, Mayberry was actively serving on the Crossville Regional Planning Commission in his second term with a first lasting from 2015 to 2022. He was the owner of Mayberry Complete Home Furnishings, which has locations in Crossville and Cookeville.
