Donna Turner

Donna Turner has been hired as the new police chief for the city of Covington, the first woman to hold the office. Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1997 and a master’s in criminal justice with a focus in law enforcement administration from the University of Memphis in 2004. She has worked for both the city of Martin and city of Jackson’s police departments, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and most recently led the Tennessee Department of Corrections Office of Investigations and Conduct.
