USPS to launch new elephant-themed stamp at Hohenwald animal sanctuary

Hohenwald’s Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee will be commemorated by the United States Postal Service (USPS) with a Forever stamp titled “Elephants.” Designed by Rafael Lopez, the digitally illustrated elephant design honors both the elephants at the sanctuary and the work done by the sanctuary for the species. The stamp was launched at an Issue Dedication Ceremony at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee on World Elephant Day, Aug. 12. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has also granted a certificate of recognition for the event and in honor of the sanctuary’s work.
