Michelle Woods

Michelle Woods has been appointed the first finance director for the city of Morristown. Woods previously served as the city’s accounting manager, but city officials decided to create the position of finance director and promote her to the position after seeing her strong performance in her previous role. Prior to her service in Morristown, she was finance director for Hamblen County. Woods holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from East Tennessee State University and has certifications as both a certified government financial manager and certified municipal finance officer (CMFO).
