Blake Walley

Blake Walley has been selected as the new city manager of Savannah. Walley has been serving as the city’s assistant city manager since 2021. Prior to that, he served in several roles in planning in both the public and private sector including as a planning manager with Oxford, Miss.-based Slaughter & Associates PLLC; as director of planning and community development with Somerville; as project manager with Opelika, Ala., Economic Development; and as a planner and government operations consultant with the Florida Department of Children and Families. Walley holds a bachelor’s degree in urban environmental studies from Birmingham-Southern College and a master’s degree in city, urban, community, and regional planning from Auburn University.
