Johnson City holds push-in ceremonies for new fire engines

Johnson City

Johnson City firefighters and city leaders participate in a push-in ceremony for Engine 3 at Station 3 on E. Main Street, one of two push-in ceremonies held recently for new fire department equipment. Another push-in ceremony was held to welcome Engine 4 at Station 4 on W. Main Street. The new engines arrived in November and required an extensive process to install essential equipment before they could be used. The engines were obtained through a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Volkswagen Diesel Settlement grant with a city match. The total cost for both engines was $1,018,094.
