Tennessee municipalities honor fire service for International Firefighters Day
From fighting fires to responding to vehicle accidents to outreach and education, fire departments play an important role in community safety and security across Tennessee. To honor these contributions, International Firefighters Day is held each May 4 to celebrate firefighters as well as to remember those firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty.
