Brian Zacharias

Brian Zacharias, Clarksville’s mayor pro tem and Ward 1 City Councilman, has been selected to participate in the Smart Growth America (SGA) 2025 class of the Champions Institute. The program helps local officials define, design, build, and evaluate Complete Streets in their communities. Mayor Pro Tem Zacharias was selected as one of the many local elected officials from across the United States and its territories. The program is part of SGA’s Active People, Healthy Nation Initiative and will educate officials on Complete Streets principles ranging from health communities to safer street design. SGA will also provide continuing support to the Clarksville community following the end of the Institute series, helping with the numerous initatives aimed at making Clarksville streets safer.
