Dale Biggerstaff
Dale Biggerstaff has been selected as the new director of public works for the city of Brentwood. Biggerstaff has more than 29 years of experience in leading and managing public water utilities and previously worked as the operations superintendent for the Brentwood Public Works Department. A native of Illinois, he graduated from ITT College with an associate’s degree in electronic technology and also studied business management at Rend Lake College. He spent 25 years as a water operator and general manager with the Hamilton County, Ill., Water District and eight years as an elected township official in McLeansboro, Ill. In 2012, he was named the Illinois Rural Water Association’s Water Operator of the Year and is a graduate of the 2024 Leadership Brentwood program.
