Dave Bunt

Dave Bunt, parks and recreation director for Brentwood, will retire on Jan. 5, 2027, after a more than 30-year career. After graduating from Austin Peay University, Bunt began his parks and recreation career working with the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department in 1992. Bunt joined the parks and recreation department in 1996 and is only the third parks and a recreation director in the city’s history. During his career with Brentwood, Bunt has overseen the opening of seven new parks as well as the city’s first inclusive playgrounds, disc golf course, dog park, and mountain biking course.
