Madisonville unveils new community mural

A new mural at Madisonville’s Houston Park has been unveiled by the Downtown Madisonville Alliance, which brought together students, volunteers, local leaders, and community leaders. The mural features 600 individual painted titles, each painted by an individual community member. More than 500 of the titles were contributed by local art students, who attended the unveiling along with their teachers and families. Together, each title forms a singular image, expressing the community’s unity, creativity, and community pride. Volunteers then adhered each title before the mural’s permanent installation at the park. The mural is now a new stop on Madisonville’s downtown public arts trail.
