FHWA announces ATTAIN grants open until July 27

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Tennessee Division is reminding potential applicants of upcoming deadlines for the ATTAIN Competitive Grant Program. 

The program funds the deployment, installation, and operation of advanced transportation technologies to improve safety, mobility, efficiency, system performance, intermodal connectivity, and infrastructure return on investment. Up to $120 million is available with a maximum award of $12 million per recipient per fiscal year. 

A minimum non-federal 20% match to grants is required. Applicants must have fully active registration on SAM.gov in order to apply. 

Final applications must be submitted electronically and can be applied for directly through Grants.gov or Simpler.grants.gov. The deadline to apply is July 27, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).
