Andy Gilley

Andy Gilley, director of Hendersonville Parks and Recreation, has earned the certified park and recreation executive designation (CPRE) through the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). The CPRE credential is the highest professional certification available to executives in the parks and recreation profession. Fewer than 500 professionals nationwide hold the designation, making it one of the most respected credentials in the field. Under Gilley’s leadership, Hendersonville Parks and Recreation manages more than 700 acres of park land and continues to enhance park facilities, expand recreational programming, strengthen community partnerships and improve quality of life for residents throughout the city. The department has been awarded numerous times for facility improvements, programming, and special events.
