Jeff Middleton
Jeff Middleton has been selected as the new police chief for the city of Lexington following the retirement of longtime Chief Roger Loftin. Middleton began his law enforcement career in 1991 in Henderson County, serving as a patrol officer, first line supervisor, and supervisor of criminal investigations as well as with the Lexington and Henderson County Narcotic Unit. In his role as assistant chief of the Lexington Police Department, his duties have included grant writing, serving as training coordinator, and serving as commander of the department's special operations.
