Jon Lane

Jon Lane has been selected as the new director of Water and Sewer Services for the city of Johnson City. Lane is taking over from Tom Witherspoon, who retires in November. Lane has 11 years of service in the WSS department, working both as a civil engineer and most recently as assistant director for the past six years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. He also holds a professional engineer’s license in the state of Tennessee.
