Columbia earns national recognition for financial excellence

The city of Columbia has once again been recognized for excellence in public finance, earning the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) prestigious Triple Crown designation for the sixth consecutive year. The Triple Crown distinction is awarded to governments that receive all three of the GFOA’s top honors: the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, and the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award. In the most recently reported year, Columbia remained one of only three cities in Tennessee to achieve this level of comprehensive financial recognition.
