Krushenski selected as TMBF VP and COO

The Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund (TMBF) has announced the appointment of Kevin Krushenski as the new executive vice president and chief operating officer. 

The announcement was made by TMBF President and CEO Wade Morrell.  

“Kevin has shown strong leadership and a deep commitment to serving cities and counties across the state,” Morrell said. “In addition to continuing to cover Middle Tennessee, in his new role, Kevin will also assist in the day-to-day operations of TMBF and coordinate the administration of the new health insurance and employee benefits program.” 

Krushenski said he looks forward to carrying on TMBF’s legacy of service to local governments. 

“I am honored by Wade's trust and grateful for the opportunity to serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer for TMBF,” he said. “I look forward to continuing to work in our communities and alongside our talented team to build on TMBF's 40 years of integrity and service, deliver lasting value to our members, and position the organization for continued success.” 

In this new position, Krushenski with continue his work marketing programs in Middle Tennessee and providing proposal assistance, as well as monitoring program performance and reporting to ensure success, administering the new employee benefits program, and serving as a liaison with TML, the legislative branch, and state government.  

Krushenski has worked with the bond fund since 2013 and covered the Middle Tennessee region since 2018. During that time, he has originated more than $500 million in loan volume, monitored interest rates and savings generated, and provided proposal technical assistance to the legal coordinator and direct of marketing. In addition, he researched and coordinated new program implementations, including TMBF’s new, long-term fixed-rate program and the TML-branded employee benefits system.  

Prior to this, Krushenksi worked as a research analyst and lobbyist with the Tennessee Municipal League. He also spent 16 years as a board member of the Tennessee Local Government Health Insurance Committee and three years as a principal research analyst with the Tennessee Comptroller’s office. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a master’s degree in finance and a master’s of business administration from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business.
