Michele Betty

Michele Betty, Germantown’s city clerk, has been named the 2026 Clerk of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Municipal Clerks and Recorders (TAMCAR). Betty was recognized for her 25 years of dedicated service to Germantown, during which she has served residents, city staff, and elected officials with distinction. Betty joined the city’s staff in January 2000 as an administrative assistant, advancing through several roles before becoming city clerk in 2016. She became a Tennessee certified clerk and recorder in 2018 and certified municipal clerk since 2020.
