Benton Young

Benton Young has been selected as the new chief of the Cookeville Fire Department. Young has been serving as the department’s interim chief since the retirement of previous Chief Daryl Blair in July. Young is a Cookeville native with 32 years of experience in the fire serving, showing the Cookeville Fire Department in 1994. Before coming to Cookeville, Young began working as a volunteer firefighter with the Putnam County Fire Department at the age of 18.
