Hy-Vee

The Iowa-based grocery chain Hy-Vee intends to build its third distribution center in Nashville, opening more than 20 new stores in four states in four years. The Nashville distribution facility will service seven new stores in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Indiana in 2023 with plans to expand in the future. The distribution center will be the company’s first outside of its native Iowa. The company has also announced plans to open two stores in Nashville, one in Knoxville, and one in Memphis. By 2025, the company hopes to have at least 21 stores in the four new states where it is branching out. At present, the company has more than 93,000 employees at 285 stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
