Will Reid
Will Reid has been selected as the new chief engineer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Reid presently serves as the assistant chief of program delivery for TDOT. He has been with TDOT since 2014, serving as director of the construction division and assistant chief engineer over operations. Prior to coming to TDOT, Reid spent 15 years in the private sector including at the firms of Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon; Gresham, Smith and Partners; Continental Engineering; and Pickering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Memphis. Reid will take over his new position from Paul Degges, who held the position since 2004. Degges will remain as the department’s chief policy advisor under TDOT Commissioner Butch Eley.
