Tennessee municipalities celebrate National Public Works Week
Tennessee municipalities are celebrating the dedicated service public works employees put into making their communities a better place as part of National Public Works Week (May 19-25). The American Public Works Association has announced "Advancing the Quality of Life for All" as the theme of the 2024 National Public Works Week celebration.
Since 1960, APWA has sponsored National Public Works Week. Across North America, more than 32,000 APWA members in the U.S. and Canada - including TCAPWA members - use this week to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life.
