Goodlettsville locates new AEDs in city parks

Goodlettsville

Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation has added two AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) to the parks system that are accessible 24/7 for public use. One is placed at Moss-Wright Park, centrally located at the football fields, and another is at the Peay Park Pickleball courts. The goal is to ensure life-saving equipment is readily available in an emergency and to give greater peace of mind to the community. The existing eight AEDs are strategically placed across parks facilities in secure areas accessible by staff or department partners during events and activities. These locations include: Moss-Wright Park concession stand, baseball quad concession stand, football concession stand and the maintenance shop. They are also located at Peay Park's Delmas Long Community Center and splash pad and also at Pleasant Green swimming pool. This is a pilot program, and if successful, staff will assess the feasibility of expanding public access to AEDs in additional locations.
