Ryan Lynch

Ryan Lynch has been selected as the new director of the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). Lynch presently serves as senior advisor to the commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation and previously served as chief of staff. He’s also held positions as the Chief of Staff to the Brooklyn Borough President and Associate Director of the Tri-State Transportation Campaign, a non-profit transportation and land use organization that works to create a more balanced transportation system in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Lynch will be the second director of NDOT since the department’s creation 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Martha Washington and a master’s in urban and regional planning from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
