Lebanon announces Western Plaza Shopping Center renovations
Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell has announced Drinkard Development will be redeveloping the Western Plaza Shopping center that was formerly home to the Kmart Center. The new tenant lineup at the center includes Ross, Marshalls, Ulta, Five Below, and Buff City Soap. The Lebanon City Council recently approved an incentive package to encourage the redevelopment. More than 67,000-square-feet of retail space will be redeveloped with the estimated creation of 104 new jobs and an estimated $1.4 million in sales tax added to both Lebanon and Wilson County. Construction has already started with the project expected to be complete by the end of 2022. The complex on West Main Street has seen a downturn in investment since Kmart closed in 2019.
