Brig. Gen. Warner Ross
Brig. Gen. Warner A. Ross II has been selected as adjutant general of Tennessee and commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Military. Ross will begin his new role on Jan. 21. Ross has 43 years of military service and presently served as the assistant adjutant general in the U.S. Army for the Tennessee National Guard. He began his military career as an infantry rifleman at Fort Benning, Ga., in 1990 and then served in infantry, field artillery, and cavalry branches across the Tennessee Army National Guard. He holds a master’s in strategic studies from the Army War College, a master’s in education at Freed-Hardeman University, and a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Mississippi.
