Demetrice Johnson

Demetrice Johnson, an officer with the Memphis Police Department, died Aug. 2, 2024 following a two-vehicle car accident in Memphis. He was 34. Officer Demetrice Johnson began his career with the Memphis Police Department in May 2023. He graduated from the Training Academy in Basic Recruit Class 142 in March 2024 and was assigned to the North Main Station. Memphis Police Chief Chief C.J. Davis said Johnson exemplified the highest standards of courage and dedication. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly and an MPD family committed to honoring his memory through service.
