Germantown earns 43rd consecutive Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The city of Germantown has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). This marks the 43rd consecutive year the ity has received the award, which is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award recognizes governments that go beyond basic reporting requirements to provide clear, detailed, and accessible financial information to the public. An impartial GFOA panel judged Germantown’s report to meet the program’s high standards, including a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” that helps residents better understand the City’s financial story.
