Anthony Byrd

Anthony Byrd will be resigning his seat as a member of the Chattanooga City Council after being appointed to serve as Chattanooga city court clerk. Byrd was re-elected to a second four-year term last year, but left his seat after being appointed to the court clerk position by Mayor Tim Kelly. An interim council member will be appointed to his seat until the August general election. Byrd previously served for 27 years as a criminal court clerk in Hamilton County sessions court before leaving the office to run for city council.
