Bob Leeman has been hired as the new planning and codes director for the city of Brent-wood after the retiring of former director Jeff Dobson in June. Leeman is the former deputy director of the Metro Nashville Planning Department since 2015 and has more than 20 years of professional experience in land use planning. Before being hired as director of the planning department, Leeman was manager of Nashville’s Land Development Division within the planning department. Leeman holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and a master’s in urban planning both from the University of Kansas. He has a certificate in municipal finance and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Planers (AICP) and American Planning Association (APA).
