Tom Pessemeir
Tom Pessemeir has been named as the new deputy city manager for Oak Ridge. Pessemeir will take over the role from previous Deputy City Manager Jack Suggs, who retired in April. With 16 years of municipal government and financial experience, Pessemeir has held roles including city manager, assistant city manager, public works director, community development director and city engineer. He comes to Oak Ridge from Independence, Ore., where he served as city manager and public works director for three years. Prior to that, he spent six years as assistant city manager with Sherwood, Ore. Pessemeir holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree of economics from Oregon State University.
