Siemens to expand Rockford operations

Siemens Healthineers Molecular Imaging officials announced the company is expanding its manufacturing operation in Rockford. The company will invest $43.6 million and create 90 new jobs in the next five years at the facility, which houses Siemens Healthineers Molecular Imaging’s PET Detector Center for research and development and material production. The project will enable Siemens Healthineers to boost production capacity for its PET detector technology to accommodate increasing customer demand and the launch of new PET/CT product lines. The German-based Siemens is a global provider of healthcare equipment, solutions and services, with activities in more than 180 countries and direct representation in more than 70.
