Dalton York
Dalton York has been selected as the new planning director of Gatlinburg. He has served as the assistant city planner since 2023, serving in a vital role in development review, floodplain regulation, and planning commission coordination. Before joining Gatlinburg, he worked as a planner with Siler City, N.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in public administration and graduate coursework toward a master’s in public administration from East Carolina University. He is also a certified zoning official through the UNC School of Government.
