Hygrade to expand Mount Pleasant operations

Hygrade Components C will expand its operations through a strategic, long-term lease commitment in Mount Pleasant. The company will invest more than $1.6 million to create more than 30 new jobs at its North Main Street location. The expansion will add 100,000 square feet to an existing plant that employs 100 people. The company manufactures an array of metal components primarily used in the fabrication of windows and doors. Founded in Long Island, N.Y., in 1938, the company now has operations in Tennessee, Arkansas, Oregon, and Texas.
