Kyoto Fusioneering to move headquarters to Oak Ridge

Kyoto Fusioneering (KF) officials will move its headquarters to Oak Ridge, creating 51 new jobs and investing $46.9 million. The project includes the buildout of critical fusion testing infrastructure designed to drive down fusion technology risk. This investment centers on developing UNITY-3, a first-of-its-kind fusion nuclear test facility to be built at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) through a public-private partnership announced earlier this year. KF is the premier global developer of fusion infrastructure, technology and integrated systems. Originating in Japan in 2019, today, the company anchors the fusion supply chain for top-tier private and public fusion development programs around the world, and operates across Asia, Europe and North America.
