John Allman
John Allman, technology director for the city of Brentwood, has retired after a 35 year career with the city. Allman began working for the city of Brentwood as a firefighter in 1986, earning two promotions and eventually serving as a captain with Brentwood Fire and Rescue. In 1996, he began overseeing the development of technology systems in the city while simultaneously serving as a fire captain. In 1999, he officially moved from the fire department to become the first technology director for the city of Brentwood, a role he has served in ever since. His accomplishments range from implementing the city’s first email system to installing citywide fiber optic networks, and helping design the city’s 911 center.
