Patience Melnik
Patience Melnik has returned to the city of Knoxville, this time as the city’s director of the office of sustainability. Melnick served as waste and resources manager for the city for almost five years, leaving in 2022. In the interim, she has worked as a professional grants consultant for organizations like Trees Knoxville and the city’s urban forestry department. Prior to joining the city of Knoxville, she was executive director of Keep Knoxville Beautiful and director of environmental health programs from the Tennessee Clean Water Network.
